What are glycolic acid peels? Glycolic acid peels are classed as superficial AHA or alpha hydroxy acid peels. Other types of AHA peels include lactic & mandelic peels. Oat milk is high glycemic index, so not a good suggestion for acne-prone folks in my view. Almond milk should be a better choice for most.

I have a conflict with the fact that retinol dry the skin (at least mine) and ultimately make look the face older if it's dry. So how really would be anti aging if it's drying my face Dr? It is not supposed that fat in the face is an important factor for young skin?

We didn't get any info on cooling times or methods for these devices. For more details, check out Dr V's videos on laser, radiofrequency and red light devices. She covers the need for cooling mechanisms due to the heat emitted by all these devices, which can be particularly harmful for darker skin types.

I always get a lot of backlash when I comment online about my skin. People just don't believe what I've gone through. For those who don't have many of these scars, you don't reliase how lucky you are. I have tons of these, my whole face is covered. I have all different sizes, textures and deepness. I had rare strain of smallpox in 1986, and my whole body is covered with these scars, mine are a lot worse than this. I grew up being severely bullied and to this day at 40 years old, I still cry about my apparence. I will be looking more into this treatment. Maybe there is something that can be done to improve my skin appearance and give me confidence. I still count my blessings because I know there are many people out there with much worse skin problems. I feel for anyone who is insecure and conscience about their appearance.

The nood, while it does work, takes an insane amount of time to actually get your body done due to the extremely slow light. The “glide” feature doesn’t really work because the flash takes well over a second between flashes. Not to mention, you have to go over each area a total of 3 times. So, even the bikini line area (just outside the panty lines) takes me over 20 minutes to complete. Not to mention you have to do it twice a week. I did my whole body about twice when I first got the device and then was like I don’t have time to spend over an hour, twice a week doing this. I’ve had the device for almost a year now and while I did see hair reduction when I was consistent, I felt like I couldn’t keep up with it since it took just so dang long. I just ordered the Braun I-expert and am looking forward to hopefully a much quicker session time.

I did 100% TCA over my entire cheek area. I feathered in lesser amounts of TCA (50-70%) on the rest of my face and neck. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WITHOUT DOCTOR SUPERVISION and do not recommend this for darker skin!!! You will need to take antiviral and antibacterial oral meds starting 2 days prior to your peel. Use Retin A for ten days prior to the peel, then stop about four days before your peel. Use 91% isopropyl alcohol to clean everything including the table and all tools. Have a clean bowl of 91% alcohol wipes at the ready. Wash your face, then gently scrub your face with 91% alcohol. Then apply 5% lidocaine to the face and leave on for 20 minutes. Wash the lidocaine off and gently wash your face again with 91% alcohol. Let it dry, add Vaseline to your eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes, then you are ready to start the chemical peel. Use triple gloves and replace them often. Ideally it's best to lie down and have another person apply the acid who has read and watched everything about TCA peels. If you are doing it yourself, then make sure the gauze is not dripping any acid. Do the peel in sections. Ideally for a lower strength TCA peel, four layers is good. But for 100%, I would do no more than two laters. TCA will self neutralize after five minutes. After the peel, wash your face with a gentle cleanser, soak your face in clean ice water, and then apply aquaphor or Vaseline. After your peel stay indoors, rest, and stay cool. Make sure your hands are clean when putting them into the Vaseline jar. For a week, continue this cycle of washing, soaking, and using petroleum based covering. After a week you can try to use other lotions and oils, see what works best for you. I used Vitamin E, Palmers vitamin E face oil, Cerave, hyaluronic acid, coconut oil, emu oil, aloe vera, lotion with copper peptides, then I added a light layer of Aquaphor or Vaseline as the last layer. You can start using Retin A ten days post peel which will heal your skin quicker and it will help with the acne you might get from the skin detox purging. You can occasionally lightly massage your skin, it will increase blood flow and healing. Otherwise keep your hands off of the face. You might get lymphodema which is a fluid that leaks out of your lymph nodes on your face, just wash it off and apply more petroleum based product. If you swell too much you can take ibuprofen and use compression bandages for a few hours a day until the lymphodema goes away. After a while your skin will begin to itch take a benadryl and use hydrocortisone cream. This will take one month or more to heal, but could take up to three months to fully heal. This 100% TCA is only for disfigured faces. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS WITH DARK SKIN AND WITHOUT DOING TONS OF RESEARCH! My TCA peel removed all of my large pores and rolling acne pitting.

I found that the littlextrea riceberry vitamin c face serum gives my skin more glowing and evens out my pale skin tone. It also reduced my fine lines. Now I use it consistently in my skin care routine. One more thing I noticed is that it speeds up wounds like scratches or marks from blemishes heal faster. In the morning, before leaving for the office, I use rice berry sunscreen and moisturizer on top of the serum. Before this, I tried decontrcts serum, but it did not give me any good results. Now I'm super happy with my current skin care routine, and I intend to stick with it for a long time.
